Valin
Power Line:John Hinderaker6/28/10These days, there is no more effective public servant than New Jersey's governor Chris Christie. In this CNBC video, he runs a victory lap following the New Jersey legislature's adoption of his austerity budget on a bipartisan basis. The budget closes a massive deficit by cutting spending by 9%, with no increased taxes. Every special interest group hated the budget, and some have threatened to sue. Governor Christie's response: "If they want to sue me, they can get in line."
pinz
And he does it without a teleprompter and team of obfuscators, er, speechwriters.
Argyle58
While a 2012 run for the White House is probably not in play for him, it makes for a great fantasy. RINO's should be forced to watch these videws of Christie, not just those above, but of all his speeches, as examples of what leadership is supposed to be. It would be lost on most Dims, unfortunately. I like the way he handled the issue of what the Feds are currently doing. He tried to avoid the subject, but when pressed his answers were brilliant and delivered with poise. It amazes me that this repartee actually happened on CNBC.
