Larry King's Wife Hospitalized After Drug Overdose, Report Says

Larry King's wife number seven, Shawn Southwick, overdosed on medication and was unresponsive at her Utah home in late May, RadarOnline reported Wednesday.

“I can’t wake her up...I slap her and ... she opens her eyes half way and puts them back down again,” Southwick's father Karl Engemann told a 911 operator the evening of May 28. Engemann said his daughter was taking medication for depression but insisted she wasn't trying to commit suicide.

The marriage between Southwick, 50, and the CNN talkshow host appeared to collapse in April after rumors surfaced that King, who has been married to seven different women, had an affair with Southwick's younger sister, Shannon Engemann.

Both Southwick and Shannon Engemann denied the allegations, with Shannon Engemann branding the accusation of her affair with King as "ludicrous."

King, 76, and Southwick, who are parents to two boys, Chance, 11, and Cannon, 9, appear to have reconciled but sources close to the couple report that the relationship is still rocky.
