Valin
Hot Air Ed Morrissey 7/15/12 And you thought disco was the worst thing about the 1970s. In a palette-cleanser for a slow newsday Sunday, BuzzFeed takes us back 40 years to the fashion nightmare that was my youth. Believe me, this will make all of us appreciate just how far we have removed ourselves from the haute couture of the Me Generation. raygun
I had two pair of polyester bell bottoms back in the day. One pair was plaid purple, the other plaid orange. My generation were fond of a lot of weird styles back then. My graduating class boycotted the class song / theme vote; my 800+ graduating class independently chose Lynyrd Skynner's Freebird as the class song / theme. The school's orchestra / marching band teacher had a fit. I had mixed feelings in that I was a varsity member of both. None of what happened back in my day was any diffrerent than the previous generation when Bob Dylan went electric; 1980's OMG..
