The photo you linked is dated March 14, 2008. I'm not sure what you mean about not matching.

I completely agree that it is up to the individual to investigate and determine the truth. That is the value of sites like this one where people like you and I can pool our collective knowledge to build the most complete picture. Working together, it becomes fairly easy to tear down old media icons like Dan Rather when they try to push phony stories as real on a public that used to trust the media.
Quote In my reading the legislature in Alaska is 60 to 90 day process it's not year around, state law up there...this article indicates that the legislature ended on http://www.juneauemp...315789720.shtml ... does that still mesh with your timeline....
That article refers to a special legislative session convened by executive proclamation on 9 July 2008 Fourth Special Session. This link is to the official site of the Alaska State Legislature Alaska State Legislature. There, you will note that the 2008 legislative session started on 15 January and ended on 13 April 2008. Unless someone is arguing that Trig Palin was born 3 weeks ago, the article you link is not relevant to the photos showing Governor Palin on the "last day" of the legislative session.
Quote You know I find it odd that I'm even researching this...normally I woul render it stupid and dismiss it but intregity in office is important and with 60 days to go untill the election...I guess everything goes...LOL
I disagree with you there. Everything does NOT go. Especially easily debunkable lies about any candidate seeking a position in the White House. I haven't seen a single piece of evidence to support a wild accusation that the Governor of Alaska faked a pregnancy to cover for her daughter. Nothing. Yet, for some reason, liberal websites are pushing this story like it has some legitimacy.
Quote And wasn't she at some governor's convention or symposium around that time I recall seeing a video about that, 18 hr flight if I recall these photo's don't match that video...I wish there was something more specific out there...
It takes 18 hours to fly from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia. I don't think that bit of detail will stand up very long either. Palin did fly from Texas to Anchorage to deliver her baby. There are lots of articles and information supporting that. Some have already been referenced in this thread (see post 22).
You know the whole thing is fishy too me...I've just read McCain sent a eight man team to Alaska to vet her....

This is crazy...what's going on...? I hope that's a rumor as well because that should have been done prior....
We shall see...thanks for sharing the info...

I'm a dude too. But when my wife was pregnant with twins, the difference between 7 months and 8 months was literally HUGE. Also, head-on shots of pregnant women do not give good indications of how far their bellies stick out. Reference the head on shot of Palin in my recent post.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but as with the old media, the first rule of the new media is don't believe anything until you can back it up with several factual sources. "Vetting" is completely different than placing a team of staff members in your Vice President's home town to handle media and campaign logistical matters.
Thanks for your inputs, and welcome to The Right Reasons.

I would like to address this smear both for members and to visitors.
The left has a history of this type of thing. Does anyone remember the "rumors" that a young George Bush had driven a girlfriend over the border to get a Mexican abortion?
The point of this smear is to place a smidgen of doubt in many GOP minds. I have already seen people demonstrate doubt on this forum.
Aside from all of the analysis of pictures and time lines, how about a little logic? Palin has MANY enemies in her state, and now quite a few in the national arena. Does anyone think that a sitting governor could disguise her non-pregnancy and her daughter's pregnancy for nine months, keep doctors and hospital personnal quiet, and keep friends of the daughter from gossiping?
Good grief! This is a ridiculous smear, and one that should be turned on those slime-merchants on Kos and DU.
Furthermore, we cannot be cowed by every crappy thing these people decide to say. That is letting them have power over us. And while I am at it, please ignore most of the "inside the campaign" storied from the New York Times, which isn't interested in anything but getting Republicans fighting with each other in order to help Obama.

That's what has seemed absurd to me from the first I saw of this.
She's a governor. It's not like people didn't see her for months at a time.

You can always count on leftist to assign the lowest, most vulgar imaginings to others because it is what they're familiiar with. Never expect them to take the high road or to address any topic with honesty. It is simply not in their DNA. It must be awful to go through life with such a miserable outlook.

I have had enough of the lying left!
While they divert attention from their faulty candidate with a sleazy story that damages the reputation of a sixteen year old!!! who is guilty of nothing but being the offspring of an accomplished woman, sensible people are digging for information to refute their off-the-wall claims.
An idiotic story like this hits when they have nothing else and this one surfaced after Palin took a mere twenty breaths on the stage as part of the Republican ticket.
I am not a McCain fan and I wanted Mitt Romney, if not President, to be selected as the Vice Presidential candidate.
This dastardly attempt to tarnish Palin insures that I will spend part of every day until election on the phone or walking the district in support of the McCain/Palin ticket!

She's a governor. It's not like people didn't see her for months at a time.
It is important to note that in these pictures her ENTIRE body looks pregnant. You see it in her arms, legs and face and chest. If the left is going to throw around crap like this, they'd better have some pretty solid evidence, because this will backfire.
As far as the implications that she should have been at home barefoot and pregnant...and that somehow she caused her child to have Down's syndrome I am stunned at how low that is, even for the left. It makes me angry and is a horrible thing to do to millions of women everywhere who have children with problems. Isn't that kind of neanderthal thinking something that the right is always accused of?
I am used to the left doing stupid things to get votes. But I honestly didn't think they would be so stupid as to attack a woman this way. It would be like our side saying that Obama was not capable of being a leader because he was black. Fortunately, I believe Palin is up for this kind of attack and it will probably end up being to our advantage.

Well, this isn't going away anytime soon.
Some more "reputable" news organizations are trying to push this rumor and others by simply saying "reports from the blogsphere" are "breaking" salacious stories about Palin.
A McCain spokesman has said they won't even dignify such crap with a comment.
The fact that the so called media is even reporting on this story just shows how loony they truly are
Why don't they hang a sign out that says ... "Women Need Not Apply" ... or the media will slime them

Say what? Can you imagine what a heartless uncaring no good bitch she would have to be in order to prevent her daughter from aborting a baby with Downs syndrome. What kind of mother agrees to take her daughters baby with Downs syndrome as her own and raise it. Can you imagine a more heartless less caring individual than one who stoop to puting a huge amount of work and tons of responsiblity on herself to either save her grand baby with downs syndrome or to fix it so her daughter was saved from the work of raising a baby with downs syndrome.
Just think about what a careing, loveing liberal mother would have done. She would have had her daughter get an abortion .. That's what a caring liberal mom would have done. And if the daughter that aborted her baby was faced with a life of regret for killing her own baby, that is not a factor. If she was too dumb to use birth control, a caring liberal mother would have said she could just suffer the consequences of killing her baby. Besided if the liberal mother had rasied the daugher right, she would have no pangs of conscience just because she kllled her own baby.
Any person who so values human life that she would accept the responsibilty for a baby with Downs Syndrome that is not her own baby is just a stupid heartless conservative. A carling liberal would have killed the worthless kid.
As socialists have always said, first kill the unwanted babies, then once people are used to that, we can start killing unwanted old people. Won't that be nice...
When medicare runs out of money to pay for my health care I want a caring person in the administraion who will say, let him DIE.. he not worth saving. Who in the hell would want a woman in line for the presidency who would try to find the money to save his life?

Yes. And MiB24 posted it here long before I linked it there. But I borrow regularly from FR, so I guess we can call it even. The most important thing is to get the truth out there...and make the libs look stupid in the process.
