@Valin - I read the above article when it was first at NR. Such is the state of political discourse or non discourse now. I am quite used to these sorts of attacks from Lefties, but it has come in to our own 'house' now. Reagan's rule of not attacking another Republican was shattered months ago - now we're trashing the whole party.

A purportedly leaked poll from the Shrillery camp:

Wonderful news, if so.

Thanks for posting @KWARX

I don't believe anything that I see or hear from the MSM.... might as well just read the "press releases" from the DNC and save some time.

Thanks.

I found it plausible, believable.

I sure hope her rage-a-holic character and her supreme arrogance are increasingly rubbed in the electorate's faces. I'm actually praying for that.

Interestingly the Hildebeast is here in Raleigh as I type this... She's at St. Augustine College and Kaine was at NCCU last week. Here in NC they've been at minority schools or venues 80% of the visits that they've made. Tells me that they are very worried that the minority vote will not turn out for her.

The price I’ve paid for opposing Donald Trump

David French

I distinctly remember the first time I saw a picture of my then-seven-year-old daughter’s face in a gas chamber. It was the evening of September 17, 2015. I had just posted a short item to the Corner calling out notorious Trump ally Ann Coulter for aping the white-nationalist language and rhetoric of the so-called alt-right. Within minutes, the tweets came flooding in. My youngest daughter is African American, adopted from Ethiopia, and in alt-right circles that’s an unforgivable sin. It’s called “race-cucking” or “raising the enemy.”

I saw images of my daughter’s face in gas chambers, with a smiling Trump in a Nazi uniform preparing to press a button and kill her. I saw her face photo-shopped into images of slaves. She was called a “niglet” and a “dindu.” The alt-right unleashed on my wife, Nancy, claiming that she had slept with black men while I was deployed to Iraq, and that I loved to watch while she had sex with “black bucks.” People sent her pornographic images of black men having sex with white women, with someone photoshopped to look like me, watching.

When we both publicized some of the racist attacks — I in National Review and Nancy in the Washington Post — things took a far more ominous turn. Late the next evening — while Nancy was, fortunately, offline attending a veterans’ charity event in D.C. — the darker quarters of the alt-right found her Patheos blog. Several different accounts began posting images and GIFs of extreme violence in her comments section.

Interesting that the "alt. right" is being blamed for all these attacks.

Here are 2 articles that give alt (alternative ) views on the alt. right

FULL TEXT: ‘How To Destroy The Alt Right’ By MILO

I’d prefer we had no identity politics at all and that we judged people, as someone once said, not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. ]b\But if you’re going to have identity politics, you have to have them for everybody[/b].

So it's ok to be racist as long as you're the right kind of racist......no thanks.

It appears Milo thinks we should just like The Left...only smarter....once again no thanks.

Sr. Woodchuck,

Joe Everson reproduced this painting on Fox and Friends this morning and now it hangs in their "green room".

Fun to watch him paint it.

Afraid I did not read it at all as "Milo thinks we should just (be?) like the Left only smarter".

I am not defending or not defending Milo and his views but here in context is what he said:

"The key question behind all this is: are we going to have identity politics for everyone, or identity politics for no-one?

At the moment, we have identity politics for everyone except white men. If you advocate for men’s issues, The Guardian will call you a misogynist and a sexist. If you advocate for whites, The Guardian and National Review, and everyone else will call you a racist.

Meanwhile, other groups – women, gays, blacks, Muslims – are not only allowed to advocate for their group’s interests, but allowed to be openly racist and sexist towards white men.

When they do so, they receive support from the Silicon Valley’s tech giants, who manage an increasing share of our lives. When a parody group called the Feminist Software Foundation tried to create a browser extension that took all instances of “white men” in articles and changed them to “Jews” — making Guardian articles read like Mein Kampf — the extension was banned from both Chrome and Firefox.

Not for antisemitism, you understand. But for showing the Left up as racists.

I’d prefer we had no identity politics at all and that we judged people, as someone once said, not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. But if you’re going to have identity politics, you have to have them for everybody"

To me he read/sounded like some good use of irony.

I prefer to leave identity/gender politics to our "friends" on the left. After all that's about all they have.

Example

I like him not because he's black

but because (IMHO) He's Correct....most of the time

I don't like him not because he's black

but because he's wrong...most of the time.

It seems to me that to be a conservative race/gender should not enter in to it. Its just one factor...and not even a real important one. It appears to me that people like Milo want it to be. That is not my understanding of what it means to be a Conservative or an American.

True Valin and I understand and agree with you. However "race/gender" is a BIG factor in today's politics. We have seen first hand the way Hillary and the Democrats - including the president and the press have repeatedly used the historically black universities and churches to pander after the A/A (black ) vote and attack the GOP as racist because of things like voter ID and re -aligning districts etc. No need to rehash all that but the race/gender does enter into it.

I am not calling Paul Ryan a traitor but he does come across in his dealings with Obama and opposition to us in the Republican base as more of a globalist than I would have ever believed. Perhaps he knew all those things and worse were going to be used against Trump but he has done himself and the Republican party no favors by his words of non support for Trump - the party's nominee AGAINST the Democrats. Maybe he, like Dana Perino, some of the Bushes and the Never Trumpers want Hillary to win. ummmm?

Should We Vote?

https://georgepatton325.wordpress.com/2016/10/24/should-we-vote/

October 24, 2016 - George Patton

I try to avoid discussing politics. Our society is so divided right now, that it doesn’t even meet the definition of a society.

By definition, a society is a number of persons united together by mutual consent, in order to deliberate, determine, and act jointly for some common purpose. What unites us? How are we able to deliberate, determine and act jointly? What is America’s common purpose?

I am actually very excited about the Presidential elections. Before everyone stops reading this blog in disgust, please indulge me and let me explain.

Ignore for a moment the actual candidates and concentrate on the messages that they represent.

At the beginning, both the Democrats and the Republicans had chosen their “anointed” heirs to the presidency. The Democrats anointed Hillary Clinton, and the Republicans anointed Jeb Bush.

And then something exciting happened. The American people actually voted to choose someone else!

The Bernie supporters were outraged with the Democrat machine! If the Democrats didn’t have a rigged system with their “super delegates” then Hillary would have lost.

The Republicans weren’t so clever (you can bet that they will fix that going forward). Donald Trump won the nomination over 15 other Republicans, all on the back of voters who raged against the machine.

And the attacks went viral. Trump may be a bad messenger and hence they are attacking him. In reality, they are attacking those of us who despise the machine. Both parties are scared to death that our votes might actually make a difference.

The easiest example of my argument is the reaction to the wikileaks emails. They clearly show the democrats for the machine protection party that they are and go into painful detail how the democrats work to further themselves and ignore the people. You’d think that these emails would go viral in every republican candidate’s campaign. What you see is the opposite. A sitting Senior Republican Senator is actively pushing the argument that the republicans need to ignore the leaked emails because, “they might release emails that implicate us”.

Both parties currently exist to protect the machine and extend it’s power…..at our cost.

We can debate over and over again who might be better in their actual policy decisions.

This election is not about potential policy decisions.

This election is about we the people versus the political machine.

Scissors-32x32.png

There is only one choice to be made in November. You either vote for Hillary (or stay home or vote third party) to maintain the machine, or you vote for Trump to take on the machine.

At first when Ryan was dragging his feet about endorsing Trump, I thought he was simply riding the fence in an attempt to give his members in marginal districts some cover, and to indirectly encourage them not to step up with their own endorsements. It is, after all, Ryan's responsibility to protect his incumbents and to assist them in getting reelected in order to maintain th majority.

But as time went on, I decided that Ryan doesn't like being speaker much. I predict that his Speakership is going to be a short one. His Caucus is pretty much fed up.

I don't think Ryan made it much of a secret that he didn't want the job. He was begged to take it from both Republican contingents for "The Good of the Party" - because they were at a crossroads. He had his dream job. He always wanted to be head of Ways and Means and waited years to get their. He is a budget wonk and his dream has always been to attempt to fix the deficit. Now he not only lost the job he waited years to get - but is kicked around daily.

If I am not mistaken - he waited to endorse Trump till he passed his primary and he hasn't pulled his endorsement, he just is not campaigning with Trump. The polls are all over the place and he is desperately trying to keep as many Congressional seats as possible, so if the witch gets in - she has some opposition to getting her programs through. Plus - locally in this State he is trying to get Ron Johnson re-elected so we aren't stuck with Feingold again. He cares very much for his State - part of why he did not want to take the Speakers job. He comes home practically every weekend to spend time with his kids and go to Packers games and fish and hunt. He gives numerous town halls. (despite what Breitbart say about him having many town halls as a desperation move - he has always had many town halls) He listens to both sides and is known for being patient and explains the issues - especially to those who do not agree with him.
