wikileaks-releases-nearly-20000-hacked-dnc-emails:

Wikileaks has released nearly 20,000 emails it says are from the accounts of Democratic National Committee officials.

The release could cloud the upcoming Democratic party convention, which kicks off next week in Philadelphia.

It is unclear how Wikileaks obtained the records, but the release comes weeks after a hacker (or hackers) going by the name Guccifer 2.0 began releasing records obtained through the DNC’s computer systems. The hacker claims to be Romanian, but many suspect that the records were taken by a team of Russian hackers.Scissors-32x32.png

Leaked Emails Show DNC Officials Constructing Anti-Bernie Narrative

Democratic National Committee emails released by WikiLeaks show DNC officials conspiring to push an anti-Bernie Sanders narrative in the late stages of his campaign.

“Wondering if there’s a good Bernie narrative for a story, which is that Bernie never ever had his act together, that his campaign was a mess,” DNC press secretary Mark Paustenbach wrote in a May 21 email to communications director Luis Miranda. “Specifically, [DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz] had to call Bernie directly in order to get the campaign to do things because they’d either ignored or forgotten to something critical.”Scissors-32x32.png

‘Sexist Pig’ And Other Eye-Opening Revelations In The DNC Email Leak

The leak of nearly 20,000 of the Democratic National Committee’s emails on Friday contain correspondence showing disdain for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and his supporters, collusion with media, and various candid remarks from key party officials.

In one email, DNC chairwoman and Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz called Donald Trump a “sexist pig.” The remarks came in response to an email forwarding a news story about Trump’s comments on “Morning Joe” that the New York businessman hadn’t “quite recovered — it’s early in the morning — from [Clinton’s] shouting.”

Another leaked email from Wasserman Schultz said “He is an ASS” in reference to Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver. The comments in May were in response to an email highlighting Weaver’s remarks that Sanders plans to stay in the race till the Democratic conventionScissors-32x32.png

Sanders quiet on DNC emails, but maybe not for long

Friday's release of nearly 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee revealed that despite repeatedly deflecting accusations that the party was playing favorites, high-level officials did in fact plot to damage Bernie Sanders' campaign. Though Sanders has yet to respond to the leaked documents, that may soon change.

The Vermont senator has not appeared publicly since the leak, and his Twitter account has only commented on campaign issues, such as immigration reform and income inequality. His campaign did not return a request for comment.

However, Sanders will undoubtedly be asked to comment on the DNC emails as early as Sunday when he appears on three morning talks shows: NBC's "Meet the Press" at 9 a.m., CNN's "State of the Union" at 9 a.m. and ABC's "This Week" at 10 a.m.

In an interview published Saturday afternoon, Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver said the campaign was "disappointed" that the emails confirmed Sanders' suspicion that the DNC was working against him. While he did not name anyone in particular, Weaver said "someone does have to be held accountable."Scissors-32x32.png

It is starting to get some legs.... of course a bunch of right leaning sites are pushing to hard on some of the emails.

One in particular is a mass email from Cruz that happened to go to the DNC (probably op research on their part to be suscribed). But being made out that Cruz was seeking DNC help.

The other is a request to "pull" a segment from a talk show which was just the person asking to get a copy of the segment and transcript (not to stop it while it was going on).

Leaked DNC Documents Show Plans To Reward Big Donors With Federal Appointments

Democratic National Committee documents recently released by WikiLeaks include spreadsheets and emails that appear to show party officials planning which donors and prominent fundraisers to provide with appointments to federal boards and commissions.

The documents, which were circulated among top DNC officials in April, could raise legal questions for the party, says Ken Boehm, the chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.

“The disclosed DNC emails sure look like the potential Clinton Administration has intertwined the appointments to federal government boards and commissions with the political and fund raising operations of the Democratic Party,” Boehm told The Daily Caller.

“That is unethical, if not illegal.”

When I read this I couldn't believe it. You knew that she was going to get some kind of payback - but so transparent??? I guess Trump said he could kill someone in broad daylight and his followers would still follow- well, I guess it's the same for both sides. Another thing added to her list that she will not pay for.

They probably had to pull her in as quickly as possible to keep her from spilling even more beans than have already been revealed by WikiLeaks.
