Valin Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Black Lives Matter pull out as pride parade grand marshals in face of beefed up police presence In the wake of the terror attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., that left 49 patrons dead, many gays are arming themselves, adding the #ShootBack hashtag to the Pride flag, and taking advantage of free license to carry courses. While it might seem that participants in LGBT events like this weekend’s San Francisco’s Pride Parade would appreciate an increased police presence after the Pulse massacre, that doesn’t take into consideration the ever-shifting liberal hierarchy of grievances. Islamist terrorists are bad, but what about police? ABC7 reports that Black Lives Matter, which was to serve as organizational grand marshal of the parade in honor of its “For Racial and Economic Justice” theme, withdrew after learning that more police would be added to guard the festivities.
