WestVirginiaRebel
The Blaze: Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid isn’t ruling out a brokered Democratic convention for the party’s nominee. In fact, he told CNN on Thursday, “it would be kind of fun.” In a brokered convention, no one candidate from a particular party has secured a majority of delegates ahead of time. So, the final decision on a nominee is made through process of complicated political negotiations and votes. The last time the Democrats had a brokered convention was in 1952. “These races go on for a long long time,” the top Democrat in the Senate told the cable network. When asked if the Democratic race this year might end in a brokered convention, the top Senate Democrat didn’t rule out that possibility. “Sure. Seriously some of the old conventions produced some good people,” Reid said. “It would be kind of fun.” ________ Kind of like pounding nails in your head?
