Valin
Pathos Dan Peterson February 1, 2015 If you have two hours — or, perhaps more realistically, if you can watch it in bits and pieces — and if you have any interest in questions about contemporary science and religious belief, you might really enjoy (and profit from) this discussion, held on the campus of Biola University, in La Mirada, California (not far from where my parents lived for many years): In it, the nationally syndicated radio commentator and host Hugh Hewitt serves as the moderator for a panel composed of the very well known Evangelical philosophers J. P. Moreland and William Lane Craig (with the latter of whom I once participated in a formal Mormon-Evangelical debate in Denver) and the Oxford University mathematician John Lennox. I have to say that I respect and even envy the forthright way in which Biola systematically and deliberately engages the surrounding culture of secularism and unbelief. There are some very fine people at Biola, and the school plainly doesn’t compartmentalize its Sunday commitments and its weekday intellectual activities.
