The polls have yet to close for the 2014 midterms, but the 2016 presidential election is already on its way.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation announced Thursday that the Republican presidential candidates will be invited to a televised debate at California’s Reagan Library in September 2015.

"I can't think of a better way to honor my husband than to keep the tradition of Reagan Library-hosted debates alive," former first lady Nancy Reagan said upon the announcement, according to the Associated Press.

The debate would be the first of the 2016 primary cycle.

The list of hopeful GOP candidates is incredibly long.

Its frontrunners include Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan — and all five, plus then some, have been spending time stumping and raising money for Republicans around the country to increase their popularity.Scissors-32x32.png

Frontrunners! laugh.png The only one who might...and I emphasize might have a real shot is Rand and he has a lot to overcome...thanks to daddy. As for the rest, my mother has a better chance...and she's been dead for 12 years.
