National Geographic premieres its six-part series Inside The American Mob on Sunday July 28 which is put together with "recently declassified files, first-person accounts by federal officials and the mafioso themselves, and rare archival footage." The series begins with "Stayin' Alive in The '70s" which recounts the so-called Golden Age of the Five Families in New York during a time when the mob operated with virtual impunity, and concludes with "Rise & Fall Of Gotti" whom by 1990 the FBI had declared "public enemy number 1."
