True The Vote

Dear Friends,

We made it!

Last week, I announced that True the Vote had filed a lawsuit in St. Lucie County, Florida to investigate the recount that may have cost Congressman Allen West his reelection.

And I did not hesitate to tell you that this effort was going to be a major drain on our resources.

In order to win this lawsuit against the Board of Elections and find out what went wrong in Allen West's recount last November, I told you we'd have to raise $50,000 by TODAY.

And, because of your dedication and generosity, True the Vote has officially surpassed that benchmark!

Over the past two weeks, over 1,600 donations poured in to get us to our goal! It's truly humbling to have the support of so many dedicated Americans.

We can now march into this legal battle with our heads held high. Our lawyers are already hard at work, fighting for a comprehensive audit of election documents, and I'm happy to report that we're well positioned to win it.

Because of your generous support, we're going to send a loud and unmistakable message to the St. Lucie County Board of Elections, and local boards of elections all over the country.

This is the "new normal."

If corrupt power brokers want to continue stealing elections from the American people, they need to be prepared to deal with us.

Their days of thievery and deception are at an end.

The American people are vigilant, we are committed, and we will not allow our electoral process to be hijacked!

With this historic lawsuit in Florida, funded by the generous gifts of patriots like you, we are well on our way to restoring the integrity of our electoral system.

But the reality is that we are only taking our first step.

Just this week, we heard news, as I'm sure you did, of Melowese Richardson, a poll worker in Hamilton County, Ohio, who told her local news station that she had voted for Barack Obama twice last November.

In fact, she may have voted more than a dozen times.

Needless to say, our fight in Allen West's district is only the beginning.

And our need for support is as great as it's ever been. Though we made our $50,000 goal this week, there are certainly more fights like this to come in the future.

If you have not yet given to True the Vote to fund this crucial lawsuit to investigate the botched recount of Allen West's ele ction, I urge you to do so right away by clicking here.

And if you have given, I hope you'll consider doubling your contribution today to support the challenges that are sure to come in the very near future.

Friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us for elections free and fair. With your support, we have made great strides to preserve our democracy -- and we're just getting started.

Sincerely,

Catherine Engelbrecht

Founder and President

This is the organization that I worked on line with to try to verify the signatures on the Scott Walker recall petition. Unfortunately they were turned down by the Wisconsin election board.
