SrWoodchuck
Sonnie Johnson! Remember her name......she's a force to be reckoned with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T39Csty6fkc&feature=player_embedded H/T:DougRoss@Journal So what is the most important thing to remember about Sonnie Johnson? A. She's a Tea Party Racist or B. She hates women and wants to keep them oppressed, or C. she's a (cue the theme from Jaws) Sarah Palin supporter? Gee, @Valin......that's overthinking it a bit......she's a strong, conservative woman, who doesn't need or want Obama bucks, victim status under the protective wing of the Congressional Black Caucus, the New Black Pampers Panthers, absolution by black bigots, Jesse & Al........and it looks like her current picture instead of her 9th grade altar girl photo, like Trayvon Martin. Valin
Obamacare Oral Argument – Day 1 William A. Jacobson March 26, 2012 (Snip) Via ScotusBlog, it does not appear that the Justices will buy into the administrations arguments, and will rule on the merits (caveat — oral argument questions and comments are not always a reliable indicator): When Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., commented at the end of Monday’s first day of hearings on the health care law, “We’ll continue argument on this case tomorrow,” it seemed to have a secondary meaning even if he did not intend it. The comments and questions of the Justices during the 89-minute exchange left the distinct impression that they are prepared to rule on the constitutionality of the mandate that individuals must buy health insurance, and not push the issue off into the future. The exact route they would take was a bit uncertain, but their skepticism about taking a pass was clear. That did not mean, of course, that they would uphold the mandate. That is tomorow’s question. But an argument that at times seemed almost to bog down in the complexity of the tax code pointed toward a refusal to bar the lawsuits that had challenged the mndate and put it before the Court this week. clearvision
Interesting that the last article claims the "administrations arguments" against today. The administration is also against ruling it a tax. The SC had to bring in a 3rd party to argue the side that nothing can be done until the "tax" is paid. Pepper
Multiple suspensions paint complicated portrait of Trayvon Martin Say it isn't true about little Trayvon. Instead the officer reported he found women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that he described as a “burglary tool,” according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald. Word of the incident came as the family’s lawyer acknowledged that the boy was suspended in February for getting caught with an empty bag with traces of marijuana, which he called “irrelevant” and an attempt to demonize a victim. Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds.
