Oh you're not going to believe the Daily Caller! Everyone knows they are just a mouthpiece for the hate filled ultra racist extreme straight supremacist bible clingers in the GOP.

Democrats in Congress haven't offered credible jobs plan or serious debt reduction plan, nor have they submitted a budget in over #1000days

Instead of a government-controlled economy that's built to last, the economy we need is an economy that's built to grow

We must provide incentives for small business to create jobs & hire, not call for tax hikes & more red tape as the President proposed today

I can't really disagree with a lot of what he says. I think the bottomline is that government and the two main political parties have gotten too big. When things get too big, they can't respond. They are like a giant ship, moving at a good clip. About the only thing that radically changes its momentum is running aground. Ultimately, that is where we are headed. That doesn't mean the country will end. It just means we will have an ugly and devestating readjustment. Massive changes that nobody can control. And from the ashes, we'll pick up and move forward. Nobody currently in our political process is capable of stopping where we are going. They can only speed it up or slow it down. Of course, Obama has his foot on the accelerator.

Mark Steyn: Obama goes Henry VIII on the church

By MARK STEYN

Syndicated columnist

letters@ocregister.com

Announcing his support for Commissar Sebelius' edicts on contraception, sterilization, and pharmacological abortion, that noted theologian the Most Reverend Al Sharpton explained: "If we are going to have a separation of church and state, we're going to have a separation of church and state."

Thanks for clarifying that. The church model the young American state wished to separate from was that of the British monarch, who remains to this day Supreme Governor of the Church of England. This convenient arrangement dates from the 1534 Act of Supremacy. The title of the law gives you the general upshot, but, just in case you're a bit slow on the uptake, the text proclaims "the King's Majesty justly and rightfully is and ought to be the supreme head of the Church of England." That's to say, the sovereign is "the only supreme head on earth of the Church" and he shall enjoy "all honors, dignities, pre-eminences, jurisdictions, privileges, authorities, immunities, profits and commodities to the said dignity," not to mention His Majesty "shall have full power and authority from time to time to visit, repress, redress, record, order, correct, restrain and amend all such errors, heresies, abuses, offenses, contempts and enormities, whatsoever they be."

Welcome to Obamacare.Scissors-32x32.png

The president of the United States has decided to go Henry VIII on the Church's medieval ass. Whatever religious institutions might profess to believe in the matter of "women's health," their pre-eminences, jurisdictions, privileges, authorities and immunities are now subordinate to a one-and-only supreme head on earth determined to repress, redress, restrain and amend their heresies

Justice Department approves Google's $12.5 billion purchase of Motorola

The Justice Department's antitrust division unconditionally approved Google's $12.5 billion purchase of Motorola Mobility on Monday.

The move came just hours after the European Union's antitrust regulator also approved the deal.

The acquisition will give Google a foothold in the mobile phone industry and could boost its Android mobile operating system.

Google also gains access to Motorola’s trove of patents, which it can use to fend off lawsuits from Apple and other competitors.Scissors-32x32.png

I thought it was highly considerate of the smugglers to lower the fence again and make it look as pristine and secure as before.

Breyer owns on the Caribbean island of Nevis. Arberg said the machete-wielding intruder took about $1,000 in cash and no one was hurt.

Nevis Island

There's something about this small, sombrero-shaped island that grabs you. The charm and tranquility takes you back to a time when things were simpler, when life was more peaceful, when stress was just a word, not a way of life.

This 36-square-mile island lies near the top of the Lesser Antilles archipelago, about 200 miles south of Puerto Rico, and just west of Antigua. This island jewel is approximately 7 miles long and 5 miles wide, with natural vegetation that is unparalleled.

Green and serene, Nevis is truly one of the remaining unspoilt places and proudly carries the name, "Queen of the Caribees." From the top of the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak to the depths of the clear waters offshore, there is a world of flora and fauna to be explored. In the hills, the comical green vervet monkeys chatter and scamper; in the sea, the whales cruise by. Stroll around and see the architecture of eras gone by: churches, windmills, and refurbished Great Houses.

Its 10,000 residents are friendly and helpful, ready to make new friends and welcome back regular visitors. The genuine charm and hospitality radiate into the unspoken, "Welcome," "Be my guest," and "Do come again."

Nevis is special, a place that will seduce you, and tug at your heart strings after you leave.

Like they say on Nevis: "You're only a stranger here once."
